For the period from 1982 to date BUMACO has been engaged in a number of research and consultancy assignments both within and outside the country relating to co-operatives and rural development, faith based organization and private business. |
| In Tanzania a major research concerned incentive goods for development. Due to serious shortages in Tanzania brought about by acute shortage of foreign exchange in the eighties, farmers did not see a reason for producing anything.
The government and donors did not know how to react.
